Tidy Lives — Unpacking Service Terms

These service-specific terms apply alongside our general Terms and Conditions. If they differ on package payment or what is included, these unpacking terms apply. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

1. Your package

If we cannot agree a suitable appointment and no service has been provided, we will refund your payment in full.

Any travel, parking or other additional charges must be disclosed and agreed before you commit to the booking.

Unpacking boxes and placing belongings in agreed locations.
Organising kitchen cupboards, drawers, clothing and everyday essentials.
Creating practical arrangements using your available storage.
Labelling where helpful.
Gathering empty boxes and packaging into an agreed area.

You remain responsible for decisions about your belongings. Nothing will be discarded or removed without your permission.

5. Preparing for your session

Please ensure that your belongings have been delivered, the property is accessible and the agreed working areas are available.

Tell us in advance about parking, stairs, lifts, access restrictions and any known hazards.

Please identify fragile or valuable items and explain any particular handling requirements. We will take reasonable care when handling your belongings.

You, or someone authorised to make decisions for you, should be available during the session unless another arrangement has been agreed.

If your move is delayed, contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss the appointment.

6. What can be completed

You are booking a set amount of time, rather than a guaranteed number of boxes or completed rooms.

Progress depends on the contents, available storage, access and decisions required. We cannot guarantee that an entire home will be unpacked within one session.

We will agree priorities with you and use the booked time accordingly.

7. Safety and interruptions

We may pause or decline tasks that cannot be carried out safely, in accordance with our general terms.

If access problems, delivery delays or safety concerns affect the session, we will discuss reasonable alternatives with you. Any charge must reflect the circumstances, work supplied and losses reasonably recoverable under the contract and applicable law.

If we arrive late, the delay will not reduce your booked working time. If we cannot provide all the agreed time, we will arrange the outstanding time or refund the unprovided portion.

8. Online and telephone booking cancellation rights

For consumer contracts made online or by telephone, you normally have the right to cancel without giving a reason until the end of 14 days after the day the contract is made.

To cancel, email tidylivesgroup@gmail.com with a clear statement and enough information to identify your booking.

Where a refund is due under this right, we will issue it without undue delay and within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, using the original payment method unless agreed otherwise. No refund fee applies.

If you expressly ask us to begin providing the service during the cancellation period and then cancel before completion, a proportionate charge may apply for the service supplied, provided the legal requirements have been met.

You lose this cancellation right once the service has been fully performed only if you expressly requested the early start and acknowledged that consequence.

Without an express early-start request, we will not begin providing the service during the cancellation period.

9. Rearranging or cancelling appointments

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice when requesting a change to an appointment. Replacement dates are subject to availability.

This notice policy does not override your statutory cancellation rights.

Outside the statutory cancellation period, any cancellation charge will be limited to reasonable losses directly caused by the cancellation, taking account of costs saved and any replacement booking. We will explain any deduction and refund the remaining balance.

If we cancel, you may choose an available replacement date or a refund for the service not provided.

10. Questions and concerns

Please contact tidylivesgroup@gmail.com if you have a question or are unhappy with the service.

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
